it's me Agi

Hello, I'm Agi

I’m an artist from Poland, now living in Canada. Growing up in the picturesque valley of the Nowy Sącz,

I cultivated my creativity, crafting from limited resources. I called it "making something out of nothing". My formal education includes a Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design from Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University and Master's studies at the Faculty of Arts of the Pedagogical University of KEN in Krakow, where I received my linocut diploma in 2012.

In 2015, I relocated to Canada, rediscovering my passion for linocut printmaking in 2019 after a hiatus of nearly seven years. Linocut became my sanctuary, offering me an escape from the mundanity of traditional nine-to-five profession and leading me to embrace the tranquil beauty of the wilderness in the Temagami region of northeastern Ontario. Surrounded by majestic forests and serene lakes, I found inspiration in the rhythm of nature, infusing its essence into my art.

I specialize in linocut printmaking, crafting unique, handmade prints. Each piece is a labor of love, meticulously carved into linoleum sheets, inked, and pressed onto paper to create intricate designs. Inspired by the untamed beauty of nature, wildlife, folklore, and myths, my art is a celebration of the natural world. My prints burst with detailed depictions of animals, flowers, and celestial bodies, inviting viewers into a realm of wonder and enchantment.

I also push the boundaries of my craft by recycling my lino blocks into textured mixed-media paintings, pioneering my own original technique and breathing new life into old materials.

I love to engage with my audience through social media platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok, sharing my artistic process and connecting with fellow art lovers.

There's always something new to explore in my creative journey.
